December 26

Blog entries will probably slow down a little now, as there is less obvious work going on. Today, we caught the following:

Windows are in, as seen from NE corner of lot.
Roofers still have some work to do as from the SE corner.
Windows in the Worship space.
View from the Pastor's office.
I told you the electricians had been busy ....
Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas.

They have cleared out the supports in the worship area, below.

We have some windows!
And the gable over the entrance is up. Someday it will connect to a drive through covered entry ...

Deember 19

The framers stuck around and worked a Friday, not their usual schedule. And they got a lot done. The Worship space is roofed and, I expect, will be walled in before the day is through.

The roof is mostly framed up on the worship space and there is an east wall framed into place.

And there is a door on the back of the building!

December 17

I understand that the contractor's boss called the crew off the job on Tuesday due to weather. So today they were hard at work on the roof of the worship space. And the east wall of the worship space is going in.

And here is a longer view.
If you want a better view than any of these pictures, click on the picture and it will get bigger in your web browser.

December 16

Little was done that would show up on a picture on Friday, and I was out of town Monday and Tuesday until late in the day. They got a lot done in those two days... and we got 8 inches of snow since Thursday!

Those are the laminate joists that are up over the worship space. Better pictures tomorrow!

December 11

The work on the north wall of the worship area continues, and the roof beams are ready to go up. I don't yet know if they go up this week or next.

December 10

Gary & Karen Gustafson made up some lasagna for the crew, which this day included framers, electricians, roofers and others. (That is Scott Jorgenson who is doing the roofing, leaning on the furnace below, chatting with Gary and Joe Kreyer, doing the heat & plumbing.)

These two framers, below, had already eaten and were taking a little quiet time in the car.
As you can see, the north wall of the worship space is rising into the air.

Up on the Rooftop, roofer's paws!

The roofers are at work on the office / ed wing of the building.

One of the framers told me they would be done with the worship space this week. They are going to have to work fast!

Electrician has been hard at work inside for the last two days wiring the building.

Friday Dec 5

They did some work on Monday as well, but it was mostly small, inside stuff, and I do not go inside when the guys with the tools and hardhats are working.

Up in the attic.

In the kitchen looking SE.

4. In the hallway, kitchen on the left, classrooms & offices on right, looking east into the Worship space.

The Double classroom (a portable divider wall will be installed.)

The warmest part of the building, as of now: the basement.

Aerial Shots of the site

Obviously, these are from Oct 25, when the slab was poured but the framers had not yet started.

The top shot is looking from the east across Greenwood lane, and the lower pic is from the NW corner looking toward Greenwood.

These are courtesy of Al Lund (pilot) and Herb Keiffer (photog).

Week of Dec 1

These are more from Gary, from the attic to the basement and everything in between!
